yo dude don't listen to downhilldomination all the time, if you have a set budget for lenses then it's not like you can afford more. Quoting the nicest tele lens that canon makes isn't even really a suggestion, it's kind of obvious that it's really good. I would suggest that you look into prime lenses because they're cheaper, and don't worry about when photo reviews say that "xxx" lens is a little soft because with video resolution you can't even tell. Focus on maximum aperture (I'm assuming that you probably want some nice wide ones) and bokeh characteristics (usually smoother bokeh is more desirable, for instance though the Canon 50mm f/1.8 II is an excellent prime for the price, it has a very rough bokeh so not quite as nice).
